Hagenerhütte
On Hengstenbergweg (route No. 110), hiking through the Tauerntal passing the National Park Centre BIOS. In the Mallnitzer Alm and further into the valley and up through the alder-wood on the ditch and turns of Alpine roses slopes to the left side of the valley on the next trench to Jamnighütte. You can, however, also take the hiking bus to the parking shortly before the Jamnigalm. From the parking left over the bridge following the path of hairpin bends to Jamnighütte.The Jamnigalm is known for a rich flora. You will find here Alpenrose, cotton, Edelweiß, Wollgras, Sumpfdotterblumen and so one.From here the right side of the valley (route No. 113) over a small bridge in northerly direction and partly in serpentines up, passing the Tauern Cross (2,230 m) to the Hagenerhütte on the pass (2,446 m.) Below the Hagenerhütte is the 1834 built Tauernhaus. It has been restored and is now the National Park Hohe Tauern "as a museum". It is on the way 113 from the Hagenerhütte to "Eselkar", then bends down to the valley and the Nassfeldalm just continue to Sportgastein. From Marie-Valerie House (1,589 m), you can take the bus to Böckstein and to Bad Hofgastein.
